Van Nuys Taxiway A Rehabilitation Phase 2

The Van Nuys Airport  is one of the busiest general aviation airports that included the rehabilitation of the 8,000-foot taxiway. Phase two involves comprehensive improvements to Taxiway A. This vital transportation corridor serves as a key component of the airport’s infrastructure, facilitating the safe and efficient movement of aircraft and passengers.

The project scope includes the replacement of the taxiway pavement, shoulder pavement, and lighting system, as well as modifications to airfield signs and various grading and drainage improvements in the vicinity of Taxiways M and P.

Given the specialized nature of this work, electrical airfield expertise was required. TQF provided a range of services to ensure the successful completion of this project, including electrical inspection, soil inspection, underground structure inspection, storm drain installation, manhole construction, concrete testing, quality control inspection, and nuclear gauge inspection for asphalt and soil compaction.
